Regulatory status

The authorisation to exercise the fiduciary profession in Ticino is granted to natural persons and is personal to them; no company holds one. IBEX SERVICES Ltd is a commercial fiduciary company (società fiduciaria commerciale) which exercises the profession under art. 6 of the Ticino Act on the exercise of the fiduciary professions (Legge sull'esercizio delle professioni di fiduciario, LFid), through an authorised commercial fiduciary who carries out the professional activity in the business and whose signature is entered in the Commercial Register. The company is subject to the cantonal Authority for the supervision of the fiduciary professions.

IBEX SERVICES Ltd is not a bank, is not a portfolio manager or trustee licensed by FINMA, and does not carry out asset management within the meaning of the Financial Institutions Act (FinIA). It does not hold client assets and does not execute transactions on clients' behalf. Advice on the expenditure-based tax regime, relocation and administration is provided within the scope of its cantonal fiduciary authorisation; where a matter calls for legal representation or for a licensed financial service, it is referred to an appropriately qualified professional.

Nature of the information on this site

The pages of this site describe Swiss expenditure-based taxation in general terms. They are not tax, legal or immigration advice, they do not take account of any individual's circumstances, and no client relationship arises from reading them or from submitting the contact form.

Tax thresholds change: the federal minimum is indexed annually and cantonal practice is revised. Figures are stated with the tax year they apply to and with their source; where a figure has not been confirmed for the current year, the page says so. Nothing on this site is a commitment by any tax authority, and no outcome is assured.

This site is addressed to a general international readership. It is not an offer or a solicitation in any jurisdiction where making one would require an authorisation that IBEX SERVICES Ltd does not hold. If you are resident outside Switzerland, take advice in your own country before acting: your position there — exit taxation, continuing residence ties, controlled-foreign-company rules and access to double-taxation treaty relief, which several treaty partners restrict for expenditure-taxed Swiss residents — is not addressed here.

Fraud awareness

We will never ask you by e-mail for bank account numbers, card details, passwords or copies of identity documents. If you receive such a request appearing to come from us, do not answer it and contact us on a number or address you already hold.

E-mail is not a secure channel and we cannot guarantee the confidentiality or integrity of messages sent to or from us by e-mail. For confidential material we will agree a secure method with you in advance.
